Short version
Oh, just some nerd that also does graphic and web design.
Long version
You really want to know?
My Internet alias is generally 'arkon', and I'm a Canadian.
At the age of 13, I was exposed to the computing world with the news of Windows® Vista®. With the release of Vista®, there was also an application out in the cloud called Vista Transformation Pack, which generally used a bunch of individual applications to mimic the appearence of the new operating system in Windows® XP®.
With that program, I was also exposed to a community called JCXP.net, which offered news and a friendly bunch of folks in the forums. There, I began learning more about technology and started using Photoshop to create things such as avatars and signatures, along with larger projects such as website designs and wallpapers.
Eventually, I stumbled upon one of the member's own tech site, GeekSmack.
Over time, I became one of the key members there and later on, one of the Editors there. The job meant I had devoted myself to writing news for the site.
All this time, I've been working in Adobe® Photoshop®, Microsoft® Paint®, Notepad®, and Mozilla® Firefox® to develop little images to full-fledged websites, either from scratch or things such as the skin for the GeekSmack Forums.
And to be honest, I don't know why you would want to know more about me, so head on over to the portfolio.
The Site
The original concept for this website was done with Adobe® Photoshop® CS2.
Coding was all done in Notepad®, and the images were cropped in Adobe® Photoshop® and Microsoft® Paint®.
The goal was to create the site with as little images as possible and utilize CSS pretty much, well, everywhere.
All pages are coded to be fluid, meaning that it will resize along with your browser window.
Contact form created with help from this site. Huge kudos to the creators of the contact form!
